" have read in Lightweight Carrera Confusion by Bob Gagnon that the R&P for the Cup's G50/10 was 3.444 vs. 3.333 for the C2's and RSA's G50/05. Would this translate to 9/31 and 9/30, respectively?"

This is misinformation here. The standard C2 (G50/05) gearbox comes with a 3.444 (9:31) R&P, not a 3.333 which is a misprint in the tech spec book.

You would have to go to extrordinary lengths (as I have) to significantly lighten up the car below 2500lbs. Porsche listed the Euro Cup at 2425 and I don't know of a single Euro car that can meet that weight after a race. You would need to replace body panels and begin stripping out the shell to get down that light.

Really? I agree with Charlie. I don't know how you could possibly do this without seriously compromising the original car ... and then my question would be why would you do it.

Well he has a collection of these so I guess he figures he can do what he want's to a them. These were originally intended to be race cars and the more weight you can get out of the race car the better. I agree 2500 lbs is pretty light in street trim. I think original dry weight in Andial race trim was a little above 2500 lbs.

2640 here with stock wheels (which are very heavy), interior still in, matter cage, fuel cell, 1/2 tank of gas, glass front windshield, SPARE TIRE STILL IN THERE! (prob 25 lbs). I could see getting close to 2500 ... but 2200 I think would be pretty tough ... without major surgery to the body panels. I think with my magnesium BBS wheels, race cat, and removing the spare tire, etc ... might yield me 75 lbs ... then the interior maybe another 40 lbs gets me close to 2500.

This may be a "dry" not wet weight. I'll get mine corner balanced and see what I have.
