Flat battery....use solar.
 

Hi guys,

I've been using a Solar charger that sits in the rear window,and plugs into the cig,lighter, for 3 years ,never had a flat battery and my c4 sits outside all weathers

Quick question. Is the cig lighter circuit live even with the ignition off and key out? Don't flame me for being too lazy to check it out for myself. ;-)

On some cars yes, on some no - but I've never figured out what determines it. It doesn't even seem to be regional. Mine wasn't - I had to get it modded so it was - but some UK cars seem to be.

i bought one of these from maplins cheaply , but it doesnt work in my 93 cab cigarette lighter :(

I have a Porsche trickle charger for my '90 C2 that plugs into the lighter receptacle, and it works great.
