Default Which oem brake pads

G'day all,
I need to do my brake pads on the 964 C4, and just checked out the cost on pelican parts. There are 3 different oem pads listed, of different brands: Textar, Jurid, Mintex. The first 2 are just over $60usd a set, the latter is only $25usd a set.
Pelican linky
My question is does anyone know what the difference is? For info I do only street driving, no track work, I use the VFR for that

I've got the 964 Enthusiasts book to check on how easy these things are to change myself...

Cheers
Adam

I use metalmaster on mine. If your rear are 4 pot then you can use them all around. Not expensive, low dust and little to no squeal.

I second the metal masters for all around good street brakes.

Ferodo are also quite good. Textars make a bit of noise for me, but are also good. metal Master seems the best for dust of those 3 brands I've mentioned.

I have been VERY happy with Ferodo pads. dramatically lowered both dust and squeal for me.

I went with Ferodo a few months ago. They stop great, no squeal at all.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm still curious why the Mintex are less than half the cost of the Textar and Jurid - only half as good?!

+1 for Ferodo. About 10 years ago, I tried Minitex but didn't like their feel. I ended up hating them so much that I swapped them out before they were worn out for a new set of pads. That time, I tried Ferodo. I loved them and have used them ever since. (no affiliation for each).
