Default To help document my car...check out my site

With my engine rebuild finally getting closer to completion, I decided to create a website dedicated to my 964. I know the text is bad (it's a draft) and incomplete. As time permits I'm going to add more content.

The gallery has many pics of the rebuild.

Let me know what you guys think.

BTW I'm NOT trying to take away from this forum. In fact I'd like to link back to this forum as much as I can to direct people to the awesome RENNLIST

Wow! hats off to your website and most important to the custom work you've done to your P-car.

That black interior does look sweet... and the engine rebuild was amazing.

Thanks for the compliments Any suggestions on what else I can do? I think I'd also like to have a section with the history of the 964. While there are many excellent sources I'd love to copy, I don't want to copy anyone's hard work without their permission. Anyone be interested in writing up a 964 history section?

Very nice. Do you ever come out to any PCA events in the area?

Unfortunately I haven't in a while since the car's been in the shop for the past year or so. The most recent event I've been to was an Autocross last spring up at Ripken stadium. I hope to be at more events this year...this time with my car

What's the next event?

Not site related but I'm curious to know why TPC took the harmonic balancer apart? Originally wasn't the whole unit dynamically balanced after the rubber dampener (the part they removed) was bolted on?

Actually I have no idea...I'll call them today and ask.

Puma,

Thank you for the educational web site. I am curious with your rebuild, about how many parts engine are the same for the 993 ?

Unfortunately I'm not sure. I didn't do the rebuild myself, I had TPC Racing do the entire job. I'll ask them next time I speak to them. I had already sent an email asking "I'm curious to know why TPC took the harmonic balancer apart? Originally wasn't the whole unit dynamically balanced after the rubber dampener (the part they removed) was bolted on?" which was asked earlier. I don't want to bother them too much and become "that customer" with all the questions.

If anyone else knows the answer, feel free to speak up

TPC's response:
"The stock crank pulley is balanced from the factory. The stock crank
pulley is "clocked" to the crankshaft by a dowel pin. We did not
re-balance the engine, we put the same pistons & rods in their original
designated cylinder.

Not sure about the question about the rubber damper."
