I am in the process of changing my oil for the first time since I got my car and I pulled the engine undercover off so I can inspect things. I noticed a wet spot on the tranny.

Any idea what this could possible be from? I am not sure where the Rear Main Seal is...could it be that?

could be rear main - more likely a power steering pump/cam seal

That and a bunch of cosmoline!

That is the lowest spot on the transmission so it could be from several places but it's too far forward to be from a leaking RMS or anything on the engine. To be certain smell it, gearbox lube will smell nothing at all like motor oil.
