Default Proper Introduction

Now that the rain has let up and I have had a chance to give the car a nice luke warm bath, I thought it was about time to share my Carrera 4's story and some photos. My father bought the car in February 1991 from Stead Porsche in Walnut Creek, Ca. It became his daily driver going the 7.5 miles round trip from my childhood house to his office until 2004 when he decided that he needed to make the short round trip with a little more wind in his hair and bought a gorgeous 2004 996 C4S Cab. The 91 C4 sat in his driveway for another year, with little attention, until I got the call... Come pick up the car. The car was bone stock and in dire need of some TLC. The paint was in less than great shape, flat black . Fast Forward... After much hard work (thanks to Griots Garage (no affiliation)) and my wifes patients the paint is in great shape. I have added the following...
Cup2 Wheels (I love the look)
H&R Springs and Koni shocks and struts (Much better stance and ride) I had bought Coilovers and a buddy of mine who races asked if I was on “crack”. Needless to say... he changed my mind.
Cup Airbox
Carbon Fiber, Strut Brace
Clear Turn Signals
New Stereo Systems and Speakers - Alpine CDE-9852 (ipod ready! I set the connection up so the ipod goes in the ashtray, very stealth)
Utimate Pedals

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

VERY NICE rig!!! Cool that it's been in the family the whole time, too.

I am very very lucky. I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression. No trust fund baby here...
I was in the market looking to get back into a Porsche after selling my 78 911SC. My fathers thoughts were, he could sell the car and never see it again, or let his son take it and enjoy watching it brought back. I thank him everyday and I have never had some much fun driving, cleaning and tweaking the car.

Looks awesome J! Can't wait to see it again. By the way, if the R man adopts anyone it had better be me!

Stunning in Black! Very cool that she’s now an heirloom too. I always find the euro clear-corners to look the most impressive on glossy black.

What front spoiler do you have on there? Can you post a close-up? I thought it was the 1-piece RUF spoiler at first, but another angle on one of the shots has it looking like a 2-piece chin spoiler..?

Morgan,
Yes, It is Techart front splitter. I forgot to add that to the list.
I also tried the 3.8 RSR Splitter from Rennspd.com but could never get the thing to fit right. The Techart is heavy duty fiberglass and is plug and play (no drilling).
Never mind the Terry Cloth garage floor... it was a better contrast than concrete.
