Default Cup alloy - strange offset

I'm thinking changing my 18" back to 17" and found a set of Cup 1 alloy recently. The rear looks fine, which is 17x9J with 55mm offset, but front is 17x7.5J with 65mm offset, which seems rare.

I checked Adrian's book and found the part number of 65mm offset wheel is 965 362 124 05, but I can't find it in PET.

What's the application of this 65mm offset Cup 1? RS? Will it fit my C4 nb with 225 or 205 front tyre?

Thanks!

Perhaps they are the cup wheels from a 968?

Will it fit 964 if I use 225/45/17?

These were also used on the 1993 928 GTS in front but the part number is different because they had the sensors for the RDK tire pressure monitoring system.

If you don't want them I would take them off your hands or swap them out for a pair of 7 x 17's ET55.

if you need 17x7 fronts/ a et55 is the factory fitment. there are also some close replicas around the et52 area
