boot carpet-where do buy?
Hi all
I can't find any luck searching for this so seeing if anyone can help. My impending 964 turbo (LHD 3.3) needs a new boot carpet and I'm having trouble sourcing one. Anyone know where I can find and if it's the same as a standard 964 one? Is there any difference between LHD and RHD? Cheers.

The only place I've seen that carries trunk carpet for a 964 is Vertex. I have no idea of the quality, etc...

I presume you have tried Southbound?? They are THE place for Porsche trim, upholstery and carpets and Dave Nunn is a mine of information. They are on www.southboundtrimmers.com

You could always make your own.
I used a piece of 3mm hardboard about 700 x 400 mm and then (my wife) made a RS style carpet using about £7.00 worth of market bought material and padding.
This smaller carpet makes adjusting the strut brace far easier and i like to think it looks a bit smarter than the original carpet which in my case looked very saggy.
The mat is not in straight in the picture due to the space saver being missing and it does look a lot better in the flesh.

Cheers Steve, very interesting - what a cool solution. Makes me think about things a bit differently. I think yours looks nice with the metal showing - certainly looks a whole heap better than a saggy or torn carpet. Don't suppose your wife wants to make another... !
