RUF RCT EVO information wanted
I am seeking information on RUF RCT Evo. The plan was to sell my 964, but I like the car so much that I am getting second thoughts. Was aiming for a 993 TT, but are now considering doing a RUF RCT Evo conversion of my 964.
So any links, pictures, information would be highly appreciated.

I looked at that option as well and the price started getting too crazy w/the rebuild needed + all the upgrade, shipping, etc. etc....I've got an old estimate from Ruf in Germany if you want it. Anyway, I decided to put a 993TT engine in my 964 w/a 993 LSD 6-speed. Ended up being a much better platform than the Evo I drove. The 993 TT is just a better engine all around. I upgraded to the 16/24 hybrid turbos, ECU and 100 cell Cats...Thing is really REALLY fast. You can look at the posts here under thread titled "Hot Rod 964". There's a 964 Evo for sale here at Ruf USA right now for $90k...and its a converted car...I think that's a very optomistic price.

Yes, the Ruf is quite a nice pacakge. The single turbo gives you that old school kick in the back thrust. For $90k though there is a lot of other stuff out there that is, in my opinion, better and faster. Just as an fyi, I was offered a Ruf Evo...what I'd consider a club sport version w/matter roll cage and light bits and bobs for a bit south of $75k...that was a very cool car.

Here's what I got from them back in Jan '02. Plus another USD$4k-$5k to rebuild the engine as it had more than 60k miles on it. Then I had shipping to Germany and back plus the removal and install. I had talked to Louis about doing a video around it, but he was always so busy I could not get him tied down. If that had occured I probably would have done the conversion sending the entire car to Germany. The 993TT swap + 6-speed ended up being cheaper and is an absolutely fantastic package. I ended up w/roughly 440 extremely reliable HP to the crank. This platform can be expanded up to 500hp or so w/existing rods. Anyway, look at my price sheet from Ruf below.

A friend sold a RCT Evo II that was an original factory Ruf on 964 RS base!
An absolut dream!!!
I didn´t take it, because i don´t want red! Now i´m very sad that i didn´t take it that time!
I plan a RCT Evo II conversion on my car too but it ended up in 100K Euro complete and so i make now a turbo conversion by another tuner in Germany but someday i will order my dream RCT Evo II by Alois!
