Winter projects 2006-2007 (picture update!)
3 Attachment(s)
Just wanted to share my winter projects with you, both for inspiration and also to make some documentation of my projects...
1: Repaint rims. 2: Change CV boots. 3: Paint calipers red (change rears to four pistons) 4: Paint rear deck lid black. 5: Change bearing in A/C compressor. 6: Replace bulbs in instrumentation with blue LED's. 7: Replace M030 springs with red H&R. |
Very exciting stuff... can't wait to see your updated posts with pictures of course :)

Are you having the wheels done professionally?
|
No all is DIY.
Especially since the wheels could get smashed again on the first track day like last year ;-) |
Regarding the painting of the deck lid, before and after pictures please!!
|
I will try to document with pictures and small description as I get something done...

I almost decided to paint them black as well, but then my car would be all black in black and I wasn't sure if it was to much, please post pics when you get them back on the car, I might have to reconsider :)
I actually had to buy the Würth silber paint from UK, so that was another reason for chosing another color (bought 3 cans just in case) ;) |
4: Paint rear deck lid black. Done....

Just thought I would show some pictures of the final results.

Nice work, your wheels look great. Do the 4 piston calipers bolt right up to the rear of the early 964s or do you use some type of adapter?
|
What do you think of the blue LED light conversion?
