$15K 1990 C4
Is there someone in Columbus that would be willing to check out this car? At the moment I am leaning toward if it sounds too good ... , but the optimist part of me would like to think that he is a distraught OSU fan and I should help push him over the edge.

Gotta be a catch... If not, that's beyond a great deal. All those nice mods, one owner and 53K miles? If I had the initiative, I could ship that out here and make 3 or 4K on it.
Get it checked out and jump on it!

The car sounds really good with all the mods and reasonable low milage. If this is legitimate and you are serious about a C4, you should lock this up ASAP after verifing ownership and vin # with a carfax and a PPI. My only concern is that (to your advantage0 he thinks $15k is above market value. He obviously does not know much about Porsche values or he just came out of a coma. However, he knew the right mods to add to the car. A recent article posted in a february 2007 Porsche magazine, "Excellence' quotes a market value of $19,800 for a C4 in so-so condition and as high as $27,000 in excellent condition.
I paid pretty close to the top end for mine and put another $1500 immediately to take care of minor issues. No serious mods installed yet, That will suck up another $8000 for what I want. For $15k, I would buy the Columbus car just for spare parts or to use it for the track. i'm sure there are some Rennlist members in Columbus.

I saw this too on Pelican's For Sale board. Man, someone could flip this thing for $4000 to $7000 in a hurry in the right geographical location. I bet some of these high end dealers are all over this thing by now to make a good profit IF in fact those miles are right, the price is truly $15k, and the motor doesn't have holes in it spewing oil.

iam pretty sure its a scam. first, the pictures are 2 good, second, the seller didnt leave a phone number, third, the pelican user who posted it and offered his service to check it out had only 1 post.
i have yet to see a burgundy with black interior in any P car.
nice looking car though

Maybe last year at t his time, someone was selling a similar car such as this in this exact color on Pelican. It sure seems to be a "Paint to Sample" type color that you rarely see and don't forget easily. However, I thought it was a 1989 C4 and had well over 100,000 miles verses 53,000 miles. I could be totally off base here...
I agree with others now that they mention it... If it's too good to be true, then it probably isn't true...
