Anyone install a Zune in their 964?
Not trying to spark a religious Apple vs Microsoft debate or why my [insert brand here] mp3 player is best... just wondering how you installed it and accomodated for the rotating display for portrait/landscape mode.
There aren't many kits for it yet, since it's new to market, but I'm planning on getting one and wanted to know if anyone else came up with any clever ideas as to mount it.
I have a Garmin StreetPilot on the dash, Valentine1 over the rearview mirror, and between the console and ash tray is where my XM roady lives, so I'm anxious to see what will work!
Thanks!

OK - fair enough - it's the same size as an iPod Video, but it rotates to show video in landscape mode, so I was hoping I could find an iPod video mount that could swivel or something...

I have no idea what you are talking about as I have never heard of a Zune before
but I do have a IPOD in my c2 and I mounted it on a Mobile phone holder which swivels if I want it to. It is mounted on the side of my centre console which seems to be a good place for it, well it was mounted there, but I have stripped out the whole inside of my car to install all new carpet so theres nothing inside my car now but after thats done it will go back to the side of centre console i think.
I'm guessing this doesn't help with your question much though huh? Sorry I am a little mis understood on this one.

The Zune is a music/photo/video handheld device. It's approximately the size of an iPod video - does anyone have any pics of their ipod in their car then? I'm just trying to figure out the ergonomics of placement and ability for passengers to be comfortable (don't want it where the passenger's knee goes, for instance).
Thanks!

Hey Dustin, before I mounted mine to my console, I originally had fabricated a bracket up so my mobile phone holder with IPOD on it kinda hung out from the bottom of dash. It keeps it outa the way off passengers legs etc. Maybe you could try that. Sorry, can't show pic as car in a million pieces at the mo. Good Luck and Oh, thats what a Zune is.

Cool - thanks! Best of luck with your German Jigsaw Puzzle, too! :-)
I think I'll just need to play around with the setup - I was hoping someone would pipe up saying "The Belkin (or whatever brand) iPod Video holder fits perfectly and mounts to the upper console next to the switches bank" or something like that... pics would be really helpful, too.
I pulled my XM roady and tried the area near the ash tray, but I was hitting the bottom of the player when shifting to 1st adn 3rd, so that won't due... maybe moved up a bit. Despite the above description of my cockpit, I really don't like a lot of clutter when I'm driving... I try to keep the install prety sanitary.

Yeh, thats the problem I had when mounted to dashboard, pulled it in to second gear and nailed her and the ipod goes flying off the holder and takes a seat in the back for a change. Anyway back to my jigsaw puzzle, anyone know where this pece goes? lol. I'll post pics when done of course.
