This sounds like you may have had 'mid-91 and earlier' rear shocks and springs mounted on this car. The rear suspension mount was changed during the '91 model year, and shocks and springs for the newer mount are longer than the earlier items. If you had the early shock and springs on a '92, they will be too short, which would explain why you couldn't get the car's ride height high enough.

Just a theory based on the info in Adrian's book.

Can you change the springs and the shock at different times?
What I mean is: Can I do the springs, and a month or so later do the shocks, all along having the car in working order still.
Thanks
Derek

You "can", but you would essentially be doing the same work twice. Why bother?
