Strange that I show interest and you tell me its £150 for the 964 Bixenon HID.

I checked with our Chinese friend and he sells pairs of bulbs for $90 including delivery for H1 and H7 whilst H4 bi-xenon are $120 for a pair inc delivery. So that's roughly £23/24 per bulb or £63/64 per bulb. Not bad!

Ace if it's not a rude question where do your light kits come from? I'm assuming China?

H4 are more expensive than H1. Caveman was talking about H1 kits in a 964 forum.......

Caveman, of course they come from china but we did go through about 20 different suppliers before making our choice. Things to be aware of are excessive radio noise and poor ignition from the ballast. unfortunately they all look the same

Ace, I notice youre signature says complete LED conversion...are LEds now bright enough to use as stop/tail light replacements? The last lot I tried about 18-24 months ago were nowhere near bright enough for my liking.

These thinsg were £300 when I first started looking to improve my 1.5 candle power lights. It sis deffinately something I would like to do but would prefer using a UK suplier a) to support them and b) in case anything is wrong

Do all these kits conect straight to the battery or do some use existing wireing?

Will do. They are plug and play as wattages are lower than the crappy EU bulbs (at least that's the H1 and H7, I cannot talk for the dual thingy H4s). Biggest problem is sourcing industrial strength velcro! I might see if there were ever OEM ballast holders that I could use. Anyone know?

We do have some very bright led bulbs BUT as you've all been moaning about paying a UK supplier an extra £25 to cover the VAT & duty I'll doubt any of you will be dipping into your Christmas pot to pay £30 per LED bulb

I've also got the 3rd brake light LED pcb on the back burner and led's to replace the bulbs in the 3rd brake light for those keen to use a soldering iron.

Ebay shut down the Chinese HID site. I wonder if the US headlight suppliers got wind of the non-marked-up price??

I bought a set of HIDs from a sponsor, however, they were low beams only and had to return them. Does anyone have a website to the Chinese folks direct as the ebay store was shut down? I would like the Bi-xenons.

Looks like the original seller is no longer registered with ebay - I didn't have any other contact other than that when I originally bought them. Looks like there are other similar sellers on eBay, but can't vouch for any of them unfortunately.

Just a question - has anyone actually had there car MOT tested since the conversion - I can't see a problem (no pun!) however just thought I would ask.

PS anyone tried the new the Phillips GT150 Zenon Bulbs - for £22 they sound like a lot less hassle.
