This appears to be confirmed by the post from page one, here it is showing that there are different (964) part numbers for the RSA lid vs other 964 and the early decklids, which I believe have a 911/930 part number.

Looks like the RSA is different some how.

Someplace years ago I posted pictures of the 911/RSA vs C2/C4 lids and 930 vs 965 inside and out. I also showed measurements and how the mounting points were different. The 911 3.2 and RSA lid are very similar and interchangeable along with the 930 and 965. Changes were minor and IIRC the biggest change was to the style of lighting used. They both retain the hole for the wiper but was removed from the wing itself. You will need to drill the Carrera lid as well since it does not have the holes needed to mount the lower portion of the wing. I must assume the older lids will work also and possible the early aluminum lids but the wing might deform them and they are too valuable to cut up.

You can easily make a bracket out of angle aluminum to mount the earlier 3.2/RSA or Turbo lids to the 964 brackets or I believe you could replace the swing arms to the earlier style. These adapters are NLA from the factory I believe aftermarket versions can be purchased. Mine cost me a few dollars in material 30 min to make and a bit of time to align and drill. IIRC the RSA tail was only available as an option from 92 on. The earlier -91(?) -90 964 swing arms did not have the cross drilled holes to mount the bolts and spacers needed to mount the adapters. You will need to drill these to make them work the later cars have them stamped in from the factory.

Here are some pictures to give an idea of the different mount options and hole locations.

You will also need the adapters for most aftermarket lids and wings as most are setup for the earlier tubs. I used heavier aluminum angle for the heavy RSA lid and tail the Glass RS Bi-wing is considerably less weight.

FWIW, my 11/90 build car had the holes pre drilled.

Indeed. My car is a bit strange though. It has early rear brakes with late rear suspension. It had the early heads, since modified.
