Default Nut Size for Steering Wheel, Non Airbag 89 C4?

Picking up an 89 C4 (stock, no airbag) and will be driving home cross country (2200 miles). Have a 964 RS non airbag 4 spoke wheel with SPACER bought on Ebay before I wrecked my last 964. I will want the extra leg room for the trip, so I am bringing the RS wheel with me to swap in the nearest Wallmart Parking lot after I leave the dealer. What size socket wrench do I need for this? The correct answer will save me a return visit to the hardware section.

Thanks!

I do not know if it will be the same but I removed my RS style steering wheel last week and used a 24mm socket.

I remember the number because my set only went up to 22mm typical.

Kevin just read the details on your site. Mine did not have a washer under the nut or perhaps it did and I did not notice it.
will take it off again and check there is not a washer ratling around.

Your tool kit should have a tool that will help you get the bolt off. I'm assuming this is the same bolt that takes off the hub?

A 15/16" socket will also work.
