Pesty - box is fixed in place (although in the photo it is just dangling). We used double-sided tape which seems more than strong enough.

Sorry - didn't take photo of passenger side hole.

Re rev counter issues - none at all so far with my installation.

I have a web quote for £250. I asked Ian how I could use the group buy and he simply instructed me to follow the link he sent me, which I did and got the £250 number.....maybe best to email Ian direct.

The webpage referenced states that this kit is for H4 upgrades only.

This Bixenon kit can only be fitted to cars with the H4 bulb. If you want bixenon in other cars you will need to buy 2 kits.
Anyone knowledgeable enough about the headlight setups to be able to advise what needs doing on a US spec car?

Thanks,
Dave

Switch to H4's first, then convert to HID's?

I'm currently installing HID's on my Uk RHD 964, and am wondering where to drill the hole to route the cable for the left hand side (UK passenger side) as the hole for the existing wiring is too far away on the outside of the wing.

Can you be more specific as to where you drilled the hole? In other other install thread on a LHD car the owner drilled from the inside of the luggage compartment, but Rob you appeared to drill inside the headlight bowl?

Just want reassurance before I take a drill to my pride and joy!

Also, one they are installed and working I will report back on them - took a chance and got a set of ebay direct from China (possibly manufacturer?). Very cheap, but appear to be identical to those that are selling for as much as 3 times the price from UK retailers...! Will tell more once I've played with them (H4 Hi/low beam).

I would be interested if group buy. But before commit, would want to read specific instructions and what specifically is required to convert over from stock H4's to these HID's. What additonal hardware is required, like relays, extra amps required ? These upgrades at least to me sound easy until you get into the upgrade and have gotchas. TIA.
