Oil level
Hey,
Can someone post a picture of where the oil level should be on the dip stick when checking it.
My 1982 SC was easy to read. This 90 C2 with it's long narrow stick and marking that are far appart well, I don't know what I'm doing.
Thanks!

I dont have a picture, but I try to keep the oil level no higher than half way between the marks when fully warmed up. Typically I use the dash gauge to judge oil level, however. I would at least verify your dash gauge is working correctly before relying on it though.

I'd agree with Heirsh - the gauge is much easier to use and more reliable than the dipstick....just make sure your gauge works before relying on it.

Oh, one more question. How do guys feel about using " 76 Gasoline " vs. " Shell "?
A well known shop in Mountain View, CA published that " 76" was better for Porsche's closed fuel systems.

If the engine gets hotter than it is when you set it near max then you are get overfull. I'd rather have slightly under than anywhere near full. Overfull can get oil in your intake. Not a good thing.
