Default Cat heat shield

Does anyone run without the cat heat shield that bolts on the inside of the cat which faces the valve covers? Mine is off and would rather leave it off it things won't melt. I still have the plastic box that surronds the engine.

I think I would leave that one on.

It is very close to the spark plug wires and if it doesn't melt them, I'll bet it will really shoten their life. The extra heat on the aluminum valve cover can't be good either. I think I would put it on.

I dont run the plastic shields and under tray. I also dont run any of the Cat shielding except for the one protecting the spark plug wires...That one is a must IMHO
