I rock found my headlamp...wondering, should I replace it with something other than stock. Any advice on what should be put in there?

You could think of convertnig to H4s ... and then to Zenon .. else get another H5 and install it. Installing another H5 is easy.

Well the H4 conversion will be just under $500 plus a bit of labor. Xenons gets closer to $2k and you have to upgrade wiring etc, and some of the kits don't have hi-beams.
I have the H4 with the Sylvania Silverstar H4 and they are a marked improvement over the H5 in terms of beam pattern and brightness. You can find full conversion kits at AJUSA or if you are looking to source different parts, do a search in the forum. Many guys have converted to H4 with very nice results.

thanks for such good information. I had no idea that the lights were so expensive.

I did a search for H4 bulbs and the prices seemed to be around $80...obviously, there is more to it than replacing bulbs.

Is it possible to only replace the H5 lenses with those from the H4 ($43USD)? Bi-Xenon (low & high beam) H4 kits are available for $300USD so if we don't need the whole H4 headlamp assembly it wouldn't cost that much for a conversion. The only thing I wonder about is the quality of the chinese xenon bulbs.
