I'm more curious knowing what your wife said when she saw the second porsche in the drive way. And what was your reply, "Don't know, it just followed me home" . I've been thinking about getting a 80"s project car but can't come up with the right excuse. Good luck with it.

Hi Paul,

Slightly OT but is this your Maserati? I know very little about these cars, how's it compare to the p-car?

Thats the one and the same, this is Fiona's car here!!

It's a monster to drive, it's very quick, as it's based on the V8 from the 360 I believe, but it's great with the paddle shift which I was used to in my F1 360 Modena. It's also got a TUBI exhaust and it's well loud, I can hear here up the street seriously!! The interior finish is superb also.

the post 04 cars are better for handling and l;ess scuttle shake, so if you see one with a glass rear window thats the revised and better model. Also post 03 cars have better F1 gearbox software.

I was gonna trade in my present Rolex for another so it wasn't all cash, but it was 5 figures at least. I thought the watch was platinum and it turns out it was white gold, so the platinum being out of my budget at 38k so I bought another 911 project instead!!

It's easy Don, the quote is "How much is the diamond bracelet you want?" followed by, "Oh and I'm getting another porsche by the way"

With my wife it would be more like "How much was that new set of curtains for the bedroom...."

I have always found it easier to ask for forgiveness rather than permission

Good going Paul, you've got good taste when it comes to cars. We're probably going to trade the old P38 for a MKIII next year, has she (the RR that is) been good to you so far?

Fantatsic mate, had it chipped to 240bhp as it's a Diesel Vogue.

Liked my P38 petrol Vogue alot had it from new for 4 years and was very sad to see it go, but the new one is mega, what an improvement and still goes "Anywhere!"

Paul, you stacked the deck by getting her a Maserati first. Good move, you sly dog. She probably can't wait for your next project. I'm sure she is smart enought to figure this game out.
