Llandow Trackday

Hi

I'm looking to organise a Saturday trackday at the LLandow circuit in South Wales.

Had some costs from the circuit and for 20 people you are looking at £130 ea. any more and it gets cheaper.

There are some local hotels/b+b's available for £30-£40.

I'm waiting to hear back from the circuit for the dates available.

If your interested either pm me or post on here

Thanks

Rob

Sounds good, although my car is still in pieces. When were you thinking of going? I'd be up for a summer month. How far is it from Cardiff? i have some old friends i could stay with over there...

This does sound like a good idea.
The cost is for a full day of fun, also what is the noise limit?

I'd be interested

Thanks for the replies and offer of help with accomodation

The date I think we'll go for is the 23rd September.

Cost will be £126ea, I did speak to the track and they couldn't/wouldn't move on the price but they are throwing in a few marshals for free.

I've emailed Carlimits re: Andrew Walsh (his llocal circuit I believe) but if we have any pro drivers on here that want to volunteer for the day I'm sure the participants could have a whip round and pay for their services. I've also mailed the circuit to see if they can arrange a pro for the day.

Before I splash out any of my holiday money to put down the deposit, I would like to get a least 12 firm commitments for this day. Obviously the quicker we confirm the quicker we guarantee the date.
If hotel is required, let me know as I can ask a friend in travel to get us a decent hotel and rates.

I'm looking to confirm the booking in two weeks so get your names down and your cheque books out!!!!

Llandow circuit are the organisers of this day, I'm just selling spaces, so all liability is theirs.
Circuit is open from 9-5 with an hours break.
I've asked for a noisy day so noise limits will be 105db. (better sort my car out then!!!)
Paramedics are in attendance for the day.

Contact me at rob.hounslow@tiscali.co.uk if you need any help or have questions.

Thanks

Rob

I believe my car tested at 107db at Goodwood that day last year......:(

Chayten - I'll find out what the passenger costs are, what age are you? I think under 16's are not allowed even as passengers.

Christer - So did mine at a recent trackday, trick is to obscure the rev counter and only rev up to 3k!!

chayten 03-16-2006 04:48 PM

thanks rob that would be great,im only 15 at the minute but will be 16 before september so as long as it 16's and over and not 18's and over i think you can count me in but i will confirm for begining of next week.

many thanks chayten

And then when that fails, face a little bit of a drive home..... :banghead:

Chayten, I've checked the T+C's, the only stipulation on them is that drivers are over 17 (with parents auth. if under 18).
There's no mention of passengers, I have mailed the circuit to verify.

Count me in Rob

Could I suggest a deposit from all those wishing to go?

Say 10% when Rob has to put the deposit down on the day?

964rh 03-17-2006 05:09 AM

Nice one C4-JohnO.

Good suggestion re the deposit, I'm still looking for at least another ten confirmations before I book the track.
t's a £500 non-returnable deposit to guarantee the track that I can't really afford to lose if enough people aren't interested.

Could I suggest a 50% deposit to be made once the numbers are in. Obviously, all deposits would be returned should all the places not get sold.
Remainder to be paid four weeks prior to the event.
At present we have me and C4-johnO as firm places.
If you are a definate for this day, please mail me at rob.hounslow@tiscali.co.uk for details about payment and any other questions.

Thanks

Rob
