Hollow spoke wheels are developed from the original turbo wheels for the 993. The hollow spoke centres are spun welded onto the rims using some kind of proprietary technology and are lighter and stronger than the solid spoke wheels....but more expensive.

I was originally looking for Cup1s, like most people, but couldn't find any at a reasonable price...
I instead chose Cup4 rims from TireRack. Shipped to my door, the total cost of the rims and tires (Sumitomo HTR Z III), plus balancing was less then $1100! It was a perfect fit and now I'm glad I chose something other than a Cup1. Fits the R Gruppe theme I'm going for. Front - 17 x 7.5 / 52mm offset Weight: 23.4lbs. (TireRack weight) Rear - 17 x 9 / 47mm offset Weight: 24.4lbs. |
18" but not quite sure what make they are.... got them off ebay

Are your arches flared as opposed to rolled, if so for clearance? It's something I've pondered about.

Thanks Rick.
Ive got the parts sitting in my garage to lower the car and refresh the suspension. I think the wheels will look even better after the 4 wheelin look is gone. |
