Windscreen washer checklist ??
Guys,
My windscreen washers seem to have packed up recently. Initially I suspected it had just got to the bottom of the tank, however filling it up has had no effect. I can hear the pump running when I pull the stalk, so I suspect that the system has got clogged up with crud somewhere along the line. Can anyone suggest a checklist of places to check for a blockage. I've not investigated how to access the pipework to the spray nozzles - is it fairly obvious ???
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.......
Thanks,
Jamie

"is it fairly obvious ?"
Yes it is . If you pull that black plastic pannel off at the back of the front trunk , you will see the hoses . One hose comes up from the pump and hooks to a splitter . Pull the hose from the splitter . Run the pump while aiming the hose overboard . If nothing comes out , backfill / prime the hose and pump , try the pump again . Pull the splitter out and try blow and suck on it , it should act as a one way valve . Try pull the other one way valve from the other side , test it . If they don't work right the pump has to do more work than it should .

I've been to a few of the (now defunct) Fairmile meets, but midweek evenings are tricky for me currently thanks to babies. I'd like to have an excuse to use the car a bit more often, but a few trackdays a year is just about all I manage to do.
