Default I'm sooo tempted...while the engine is out

I'm so tempted to go ahead and jump on this More info LINK while my car is being worked on. So what's everyone's latest take on this? I know it's been debated many times in the past. For those of you who have done it can you post pics of your install as well as any long term experiences.

Please do. I need to live vicariously through another's supercharger or else I'll have to do this myself.

Probably not worth doing unless you do the intercooler also. $11k for just parts That's alot of scratch.

Curioius myself. $11k is with the intercooler. Is that a must or can you get by with just the sc?

without the IC you probably end up using the extra fuel to simply cool the charge air temp which on reports I've read indicate get pretty silly... However my SC'd 4Runner runs just perfect without an IC so I suspect results may vary given the primary operating location.

Ron... If you have the extra money... GO FOR IT! This is the same set-up that I've been thinking about.

Is this a DIY or not? About what would an install cost above the cost of parts?

I was wondering if you would need to get a remap of the DME and also would this work with a TIP.

According to Step 15 (LINK) The DME should be stock. I add-on box is taped in-line (see LINK ).

I'm not sure about Tiptronic...I'll inquire tomorrow when I call about install charges.

Hey Ron…
Seriously haven’t you had enough fun/expenses getting "YOUR PORSCHE", to where it is today… We’ve been following each other for years now. You’re almost there with your 911/964... The perfect restoration is going to be your satisfaction. Don’t get involved with this add-on junk, surly the car must be fast enough. Besides it’s so ugly and un-Porsche!!!!!

"Follow your course you’re almost there"...

Let someone else do it, but not you ... You love your Porsche 911/964 too much to all of a sudden blow its guts out. Respect your 911/964 as you respect yourself...

Now maybe some Speedlines or BBS, that I understand, but not some bolt-on turbo-this, or super-charger that. "YOU WILL ONLY REGRET IT"...

From here,
Marc...

PS. BTW... Good Morning... (You woke me up!! The shock!!)

Junk? In your eyes perhaps... But them most/all modifications are to you... As we've all seen in your prior posts. What is ugly and "Un-Porsche" about it? TPC has a very good name and is known around the world for their work.

Hey Rick...
It’s the wrong type of car... Fair enough if it was something modern of today... Let’s say an American Pony car, or even a MX 5 Miata... or an old Pick-up... But I sincerely think that what we have now is already something that no longer will ever be built or thought of again... Respect it... Rick, if you were looking to buy a used Porsche again... Which one would you buy... A restored Original spec... Or, a Blown-out spec.

I still do not understand for where or for way an artificial 100 bhp is needed...

I’m just waking up... BTW Sorry ...

From here,
Marc...

PS.. Why don’t you install this equipment, if it’s so special...
Would you really take the chance... Seriously...

Nice to communicate with you again...

Take care Rick... Don’t dream about Super-chargers...

From here.. Peace!!..
Marc...
