Default Sport Seat option on a normal 964?

The sport seat option does not seem to be very common on the US 964s. I know they were standard in cloth on the RS Americas but I've only seen one "normal" 964 with the sport seat option. Was it just not offered or is it a rare option to find?

I've got them on our car; ordered as an option. Stacey's problem lately is her bucket doesn't fit in the bucket very well at 23 weeks pregnant.

I've got them - they're nice to hold you into place, but they require a little extra effort getting in and out (my 964 is my daily driver).

You will see them from time to time at some of the dismantlers:

I have'em in leather and love 'em.

I tried a 964 at the track last year that had the standard seats and there is a big difference in "grip" you get with the sport seats.

They look something like this on my "normal" c4. They definitely have a deeper and narrower bucket. When some of my "heavier" friends sit in the passenger seat they sort of get all scrunched up and have their arms crossed in front of them cuz they can't get their shoulders back (hee hee).
I've only seen 'em in others and online with the up/down x2 electric adjustment and manual fore-aft and back angle adjustment. Has anyone seen the sport seats with the full 12-way electric adjustment?

They are the same as RS America seats, just covered in Leather. It suprises me that more people did not order them when the 964 was new. I think they were only a $350.00 option. I sold a set for $2500.00 that were mint.

I think they were only available in 4 way power with optional heat.

Currently I am running RS America seats. I love the cloth, but it is a bit of a pain to get the lint and dust off sometimes...

Some one correct me if i am wrong but i pretty sure the sport seats never came with the full adjustment, only the 4 way....(2 up/down switches, as on your car...)

A quick remark also. Don't those seats wear a little quicker on the bolster due to their narrow-huging shape? All the picture i saw show some little cracks on this area... Still have to see a "real"one

This is true. You can get heating, but not full electrical, let alone lumbar support.

I love my seats ,always wanted a car with white interior.
When the seats were removed mine had Recaro logo stickers underneath the seat base.

I will have a set of sport seats available shortly. I found a pair of the stock on that I am going to replace them with. These are black leatherette. Drivers side bolster has some wear ... the rest of both seats is very good. My dad and I share the car and it is too tough for him to get in and out. Let me know if you are interested. I can send pix if requested.
