But this summer I saw myself behind the wheel of a 964 C4 Coupe that had the RS-flywheel and personally I don't see the stalling being an issue at all!
It's just so much more responsive with the RS flywheel!
Of course what I really would like to do is drive a 964 with a SMF back-to-back with a 964 with a RS flywheel...

A lightweight flywheel is a single mass flywheel - lots of guys have done it, including me on the coupe (love it!). And someone posted a while back about the weight of the flywheel from an 89 car which isn't that far off from the RS weight.... unless their scale was screwed up

The big question is, did anyone use all the stock 89 parts to do it, and was there any problems.
I searched the archives and I found no indication that anyone had actually put the parts in and could verify the setup would fit and work perfectly in a 1990+ DMF style bellhousing.
I have all the parts here. The first thing I notice is that your 1990+ starter will need to be replaced with the 89 model. (The starter ring is on the transmission side of the pressure plate, not the flywheel side.)

(note: I think we might as well take the word MWF out of our vocabulary because the flywheel is not 19 lbs. it is 10.5 without the starter ring.)
