Spacers and Cup2 with mega ET
Hi,
I got a set of 17” Cup2 in a car-deal, the front is 7-ET55 and rear 9-ET70. Im planning to use them on a std 964-92. My question is spacers, what do I need to install them? Best regards Anders Kaarle |
15mm spacers will bring you to the correct offset. And you will need spacers to fit these wheels.
|
That is, 15mm on the rear wheels. The fronts are correct.
|
You will need to change out the studs for a longer version. You must also use open end lug nuts. The lug must at least be flush with the end of the stud.

Hi,
Thanks för yor help. Could I use the following spacer? https://shop.fvd.de/main.php?sm=&mod...total=30&back= Best regards Anders |

Generally shims are only available in sizes of 5 or 7mm. Anything larger will usually have integral studs. It DOES mean, however, that you have to be careful with which wheels you fit since not all wheels will accomdate the bolt heads which hold the spacer to the hub. I've used the word "generally" above since it is not ALWAYS the case so don't start flaming me about exceptions - I know they exist!! Regards Dave |
The spacers with integrated studs are also known as "Hub extenders".
Ciao, Adrian. |
what shim/hub extender can any one recommend to fill out the rear arch using the standard 16 design 90 wheels in safety ?

FWIW, here is some wheel info from my 964 Cup:
https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/270747-anyone-out-there-running-9-5-x-17-cup-1s.html The Carrera Cup rear 9.5 wheels are 68mm offset and are run with a 21mm spacer, 477.501.701 (944 rear wheel spacers IIRC). No rubbing issues, although the fenders are factory rolled. The front 8's (same as RSA rear wheels) are 52mm offset, no spacer and I don't have any rubbing. http://www.carreracupusa.org/Race/wheels/wheels.htm Here is a thread with some additional info on spacers/offsets: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/314645-964-wheel-questions.html https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/316567-8-and-9-5-cup-1-a.html https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/242599-are-you-spacing.html |
