I would like some help in deciding which 964 to purchase. Car one is a 91 C2 Coupe with tiptronic transmission 80K miles. Car two is a 91 C2 Coupe manual transmission 105K miles. Both cars are clean and have been well maintained. My question is: Is the tiptronic dependable? What should I look out for? Is the manual transmission the better choice? Should I look for a noticeable price difference? As you have guessed this would be my first Porsche and I am looking for advice.

Overall, a very, very clean and well-kept C2. Prior owner deceased and estate sold vehicle to local Porsche dealership (hence likely reason why the maintenance records, tool kit, and tire inflator were missing...probably back at the guy's house). Dealer provided all maintenance records for service performed at their facility. Only major service identified was a new clutch within last 9 months. New set of 16" tires (205s all around???...so the rears will need to be replaced with correct sizes) on D-90 wheels with zero curb rash. Radio has some functions but not all...OEM speakers need to be replaced (dry-rotted). Perfect leather interior and no worn spots on the carpets or Lloyds floor mats. Paint has a few very minor rock chips, but considering age of car is almost perfect. Drove the C2 from Kansas City back home to Charlotte, North Carolina with zero problems and a 25 MPG average fuel comsumption. Overall, a nice C2 that will now become a daily driver!
