This is, of course, more than 10 year old data, but thought it was relevant nonetheless. The car was all stock aside from the radio, and in great condition for its miles (which were on the high side at the time). Since buying it, I have updated the wheels to Cups ($850 including tires, kept originals), done the G-pipe ($250, kept original), put in a Porsche CD ($300), upgraded the suspension ($2000), and a couple of other things. The car has been 100% reliable and very cheap to own it for the 40k miles I have put on it over these 10.5 years. I have improved its condition since purchase, and estimate its value to be about 20k right now, perhaps more.

This was a nice car in terms of fit and finish, and actually ran pretty good. But maintenance had been neglected. I am paying the price for that now. In my opinion, I overpaid by about 5k$ for this vehicle considering what I am going thru now. I put it in the shop 2 days after I bought it and it will be there total about 10 days before I get it back. Engine is now out of it. Estimated bill will be around 10k$. That includes 60,000 mile service, fix all leaks, new clutch, new flywheel, and some other minor stuff. I am hoping to get the car back as a 9 rather than the 5 it is now.
