By this photo alone you can tell how much body work was done to this car. As a lesson for others out there, look for the fender welds, they're gone from all the body work done, you can tell there was body work on both the left and right rear fenders... PASS.

hey guys- it's slim pickings here in california for a 1991 964 that's silver with manual transmission for under $35k. I'm not ready to buy just yet but should be in the next couple of months. So i started looking at importing one from Japan. I've mostly been looking at auctions but wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with importing to California?

a great read- i can relate in terms of importing, but i didn't have to do much when shipping my 1977 skyline from Japan as the military took care of most, if not all the paper work. They did mention "japanese classics" as the source of finding the car. I wonder what sources are available for European imports?

What do you guys think is a 1989 Carrera 4 with 61k miles worth? It's Guards red and Manual. All original paint.

This is the sticky thread to post the price paid for your 964. Re-post your question as a new thread.

Guys I need some clarity....I called a "Well Known" air cooled dealer about a
'93 C2 Coupe with 38,000 miles. Pristine condition.
He was asking for $115,000 That is CRAZY money for a C2!!

He was stating that, the 964 C2's are commanding these prices in pristine condition. Is this realistic? Am i missing something?

Thx

/\ Holt Motorsports has some of the finest AC cars around, if you want something pristine, you go through Tim

I agree. Holt (Tim) has amazing AC cars. But isn't the asking price extremely high? Thats some serious coin for a C2, No?

It is serious coin but you get what you pay for, you can't find cars like what he has anywhere else in the world. Trust me I looked for 11 months to find what I have, its great but its not in the kind of condition his cars are... but it was also half the price.

That's crazy money but then again 93-94 C2 5spd coupes are rarer than RSAs. Really needs to a true #1 to get anywhere near $100k.

What color is it? If it's some rare PTS jelly bean color I could see some collector biting at over $100k.

Its Guards Red. That's the thing...If it was a PTS car or it had some rare options, then I would get it...
But a standard Red C2 for $115K? That's serious stuff
