Apparently Kingdomofseb. His only post on RL appears to have been his post in this thread back around mid November although he seems to have been lurking.

There is a funny story about that car. I was trying to buy it from a Jean-Seb in Quebec City around Aug 2014 - same mileage as you have listed. I told him I would pay $21k and he wasn't interested. Then I bought my 964, and then the same car showed up in Montreal for sale (unless 2 Tahoe Blue 964s were sold last year in Quebec). I called him to get more info, and he texted me back 'What?'. He was asking $24k, and I asked him exactly (I still have the text messages) 'give me an idea of the condition'. He told me 'not good for you too fussy, go to Porsche Lauzon'. Would be interesting to finally see the car at an event! lol

Hi Hockenheimmr, I purchased the Tahoe Blue 964 last November. I'll be more than happy to show it to you at the Julep this spring, or at the first event of the M9O!

Seller had his quirks, but he tells me he was getting up to 40 email/text inquiries a day regarding the 964 when he listed it, with most prospective buyers just sniffing around the car.

I'm old school. I called him, test-drove and inspected it the same day, and purchased it that week.

It was the third 964 I looked at last fall -- it's the best of the three, in my opinion.

Penpen2015, to reply to your questions: the car came with neither tool nor inflator kit. It did come with the owners manual, but no receipts for work (though seller mentionned a number of things that he says were done under his watch). So in terms of documentation, I give it a 0. Mechanically, it was in ok shape (6-7 out of 10) - but I had a fair amount of work done over the winter, some of it preventative, some of it necessary. At a base cost of C$24K, investing money in this car is a no-brainer.

Did you buy it in Quebec City? or from a guy in Montreal? Do you want to join M90?

From a guy in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Not sure it came from QC City at all, will check my carfax tonight. I'd love to join the M90. Speak to you soon!

Yea he lives on that Island in St. Jean! Sounds like a great deal! If you have facebook 'like' W90 (might have to search for London Porsche 964 owners) I'm an editor (Rod Bev) so add me as a friend. I will then add you to the M90 page.

I'm currently looking at '90 C4 Cab, Manual, 22,000 original miles. Car is grey exterior with white interior. Private seller claims to be the 3rd owner and that the car is all original and pristine. Couple pics below. Unsure about options or mods but I think the car is pretty original. What is this car worth roughly?

$37,000 - $42,000. Get rid of those wheels ASAP.

Are those recent pics? I don't know why, but I seem to remember seeing those same pics quite some time ago from a previous thread. As for price I'd say around 40 or slightly more considering the low mileage.

OK, you're not the first person who's said that. I'm a Porsche newbie so bear with me.

#1--What do you think the wheels are from? A 996?

#2--What would you put on the car to sell it? The stock 964 wheels I see on most look kind of bland to me but maybe that's what a low mileage car like this should have?

Considering I have seen cars with similar mileage and condition sell for considerably more privately I would not second guess this one and get it off to a specialist for a PPI.

There is a network of people out there that don't visit rennlist or shop on Craigslist looking for pristine 964's. I have seen 30k mile cars sell for close to $60k and a couple well over that number with less mileage. Unfortunately these cars are not documented and trade hands privately.

Default Considering sale of 91 C2 Targa

Hi All, I used to frequent Rennlist years ago... First when looking for my 964 and then for some time after acquiring it. Used to spend far far too much time surfing here. The kids got older, the career more demanding and the garage is about to get fuller. I unfortunately don't have much time for the cars anymore. So i am considering selling my 91 c2 Targa and wondering if anybody has an idea of the market for the Targa relative to Coupes/Cabs.

Mine's black/tan with ~105,xxx. Purchased it about 10 years ago with something like 82,xxx. My 11 year old son wants me to keep it for him but thinking about other options. Thanks.

jg
