your assessment of the mechanical condition of the vehicle (1-10, 10 being highest): thought it was a 9, turned out to be a 3 - The seller owed his mechanic, a "reputable" exotics garage, $11,300.00 at time of purchase for top end, then bottom end, plus A/C, clutch and DME replacement. Car didn't even make it the 140 mi. to my home. Nut left off starter cable, nut left loose on clutch slave, plus a number of other shoddily done items. Broke a valve 4 months later and tore up a cylinder. Obviously the valves and guides weren't properly addressed.:banghead:

I'm startin' to think that I overpaid. But I love every minute behind the wheel.

(based on paperwork, I thought a 10, But we found previous abuse. 2nd owner had run car with the front oil hose blocked. Had to replace all seals, clutch, and the Chain cover is still warped and leaking. ) Still, it is a Porsche Works car, and now, it runs awesome.

acdlcd - I think the 10, 10, 10 rating you gave is worth the difference in your purchase price and mine. If you've enjoyed every mile, I've enjoyed 30% of mine - 3 / 10 mechanical ratings (mine vs. your's) = 30% :banghead:

altarchsa, Yeah, plus I got a great "easy payment plan" from the friend I purchased it from.
I really have had to sink a bit of money into it (massive oil leaks, new clutch, etc.) But I have a GREAT mechanic, and it's slowly becoming my car.
It's a daily driver for me in LA, so it's gotta be good to handle all the traffic....
