So is this a C4 only issue or does it pertain to C2 as well?

Pressure seals require a positive pressure to seal.
Vacuum applies a negative pressure and can pull the seals out of their sealing positions.
Pressure bleeders provide positive pressure of approximately 1.5 bar or 22psi. 1 bar = 14.7psi.
You cannot properly bleed the brakes of a hydraulic boosted system (C4 etc) using the brake pedal.

Thanks Adrian. That's what i thought you were going to say. So i guess i will not use my fluid extractor to bleed/flush any more - I just used it for the first time on the clutch slave and it worked great. I suppose a purchase of a pressure bleeder is in order.
