Default I'll never get to clean this one again!

I always take off my watch before washing my car, it was safer that way.

Still got the watch and the car, well most of it, as the badge has been swiped.

Sad World, here in France, the badges are pried of with screwdrivers, the tire valves are stolen, and keys gouging out the lengths of the cars by jealous passer-byres, you have to wonder what’s next? Just in case, keep the watch well hidden from view, otherwise, it’s off with the wrist!!..As with my 911/964, BRING BACK THE OLD DAYS!!..Sad story, and it’s the FIRST OF DECEMBER, Xmas soon to be..Maybe a replacment is on the books,..

My wife's purse was stolen in Nice a few years ago (long story) and the police officer started telling stories about common methods of theft. The one that caught my attention was of ripoffs in traffic jams. Two guys on scooters (ubiquitous) - first guy rides between the stopped cars, brushes past expensive car and "accidentally" knocks driver's door mirror forward on pivot. No damage. Car driver reaches out of window to return mirror to proper position, guy on second scooter zips up and steals (probably expensive) wristwatch, right off the driver's wrist! Sounded apocryphal to me, but the "flic" in Nice swore it was true...

why on earth would you want to take your watch off , put it on your car bonnet , then take a picture and post it on the internet ??

if you really want to impress us , get a naked young lady spread out on it !!!

An easy way to spot a fake is the lettering is fuzzy looking. I am not sure if that is a real one or not because the angle is hard to tell. I have a two Rolex's that are fakes I paid $200 each and 99% of the people can't tell the difference from my real ones.

It’s the mechicnisiams inside that goes" zzzzzzzzzz", instead of "tick – tock". The movements of a Rolex, IWC, and many other Swiss automatic watches are distinguished from the Quartz watches of Japan, by what's behind the face. Quite a rivalry between the two watch movement systems of today. It’s like a Porsche engine versus an electric car motor, they both move clockwise, but to a different beat. Hand made precision,. get the check book out. A fake Rolex, cheap metals, and quartz movement,. in the cereal boxes almost free. Also look for the word, "SWISS MADE", on the lower face side for authenticity. "The Submariner", (50 years), is a classic time piece, just like the Porsche 911/964. The one to have...."The Anniversary Dark Green Bezeled, Submariner",..Impossible to find, no I don’t have it! Maybe you do?.... MarcA.

Default Rolex & Porsche a nice pair!

Rolex & Porsche (especially 964) are a "nice pair". But the eye candy of a "nice pair" maybe more alluring.

I took this photo originally for a watch forum about 12 months ago, but when I lost my hood/bonnet badge, I remembered I had a photo of it.

The watch is authentic, it is from 1978 and looks as good as the day it was made. I only have 6 Rolex watches and they are amazing machines. For example, the typical Rolex is a mechanical device that runs 24-7 x 52 weeks x 5 years between services. The typical Rolex watch has 28,800 vibrations per hour and can run with a measured error rate of 0.001% to 0.003% per day. The lubricants in quality watches last at least 5 years before they start to deteriorate.

I totally agree, I would rather look at the ladies, so why am I here.....
