Default Exhaust tips, advice please

Looking for advice for chrome or stainless exchaust tips for a twin exhaust narrow body C2 with European bumpers. For example, would the 993 big factory ovals fit? Alternatively, is there a better looking solution? Would appreciate your input. Many thanks.

Besides the material, if you live where you can use a catalytic by-pass pipe you will get more performance as the stock systems restrict flow to some extent. This replaces the catalytic converter and retains the oxygen sensor. The best type to use are the "Euro specification" pre-emission , premufflers. These are normally made in Germany.

For the tips, I always go stock but that is just me.

I agree that Fabspeed make the most gorgeous tips. But for the right-hand side only. What about the left-hand side (as in dual exhausts)?

What are the European bumpers? I didn't know the 964 had different bumpers for USA and ROW. Anyone got any pics?

Sure there's a difference. Especially in the rear 964 bumper where the middle section of the bumper "sticks out" in the US version but doesn't in the European version. Plus the bumperettes, of course. Sorry haven't got photos. European version looks much, much better.

Not what I meant. You are showing is the "RS style" lightweight rear bumper.
I meant that the middle of the US style "conventional" rear bumper sticks out about an extra inch, unlike the European ones. See photo. ASV

I knew about the front bumperettes but never noticed the rear bumper. Are you talking about the little "humps" on either side of the license plate?

Yes.

in europe, the "regular" rear bumper doesn't show this little bulge.

Did you remove the "2" from your rear badge or is that yet another reason the Euro cars look better?

Zico -

Love your CarDomain website - Fabulous pics!

I've been thinking about adding dual exhausts. Was there any discernable chnage in performance or sound when you you installed them?

Jim
