Default A compliment for the timeless design of the 964

I had a guy around today to give me an estimate regarding heating my Garage-mahal this coming winter (he suggested propane radiant heat).

Looking at my p-car he asked, "When did you get it?
"Last December," I replied.
"Was it new when you got it?" he goes on to ask and then is floored when I tell him it is 14 years old.

Nice C4 Mark. Do you keep the bra on all the time. I was debating to get one for my 90 C4. Looks good on your car. Mine is guards red, looked for a black but could'nt find a C4. I'm from the states but now reside in Toronto. Runs and looks great. Thougth I had an expensive oil leak because of the gasket less heads. The Mantis Racing Shop here corrected the drip or a lot less than the Porsche dealer proposed. Are there any Porsche rallys held in Canada?

The car looks good Marc,

I just had a quote as well for heat in the garage. Looks like I am going with a 100,000 btu natural gas unit heater. (One model larger than the Lennox Hotshot)

Its cold in Winnipeg in the winter!

similar incident last week; wife and I were driving down the road and came to a light. This kid next to me in a Sentra or Corolla starts talking to us thru the closed window. I opened it, and he says "dude, i really love your car; it's f'n tight!" He was about 20.

My favorite is when my 2 and 5 year olds come piling out of the back seat... that always gets the jaw drop and the "that thing has a back seat" comment.

then there was the reaaallllly big girl who asked me for a ride a couple days ago. Not exactly the best kind of compliment, but one non the less.

This should be a winner. I was working in dallas in 2000 and went in one saturday before hitting the links to check on things. One of the young girls in the shipping area broke her waterbag, so I volunteered to rush her to the hospital in my '95 993 Cab with the top down. She's 18 and I'm 50, racing down a main street when I get stopped by a motorcycle cop, a very big moteorcycle cop. She is sprawed out on the front seat and I am waiting for something to pop. He comes to my side and the first thing out of his mouth is " Perelli Jones, that's one h--- of a nice looking Porsche, hope it's worth this ticket" needless to say, he escorted me to the hospital and I didn't get a ticket.

I usually get the "what year is it?", which after my response is followed by "a ninety-what? I thought it was new."

I live in a resort at the NJ shore. Lots of bars, of course tons of eye-candy strollin around.. My best bud has a dark blue 993 cab, mint, he's 58 and is almost totally grey. One day this little hottie is checking out his ride as she crossed the street in front of us. He smiles, she says "Nice car grandpop", the smile left his face! I chimed in "Hey, my dad don't like being called garnd-pop". I laughed until I was near tears.. He was mumblin something about shoulda gave 'er the finger.

I was surprised that Christophorus chose my 964 as the opening picture for the Parade article in t his month's issue. I thought for sure they would use the 997 Club Coupe. For a car that has seen 60 races and over 300 track days, it looked all polished and shiny on the concours ramp. It's amazing what photoshop can do! Of course, it's still a 30 foot car

Manny, I own a 964 and yet once I got home from parade I found 4 to 5 pictures of your car in my camara. My 9 year old son and I were there for the very hot weekend and your car received alot of attention when ever I walked by. My son went nuts over the paint job.
