Congratulations, Rob, and your wife, too, of course! A beautiful pair of children. Let's see a photo of Carter in the Porsche race suit when he is big enough to borrow it from the bear.

The race suit idea did not go over well. We tried to put it on him, but it was too small. I'm impressed my wife gave it a shot when he was just 4 days old.

Thanks for all of the kind words.

Rob - we just had a new baby too - I think you should join with me and dump our Cherokees for a couple of new Cayennes!

Rick, that's great-congratulations!

I hate to say it, but I prefer the look of the Toureg-more muscular lines. In either case, we're on the same page. But with just 45,000 miles, I am hard pressed to dump it as I'll only get about $8k.

I'm with you on the resale (or lack thereof), but it's time to let go. I hate that thing.

Good stereo, though, for stock. The only saving grace, otherwise I'd drive it into a tree... I bought my wife an Expedition, and I drive the Jeep when the 964 won't do, which is anytime I have to transport more than one child....

The stereo is great, but I love it in the snow. I put Toyo's on two years ago and that helped a bunch and they were only $80 per tire-stock tire was double that! Between 4x4 and ABS it is a blast in the snow as it tends to favor the rear, making it oversteer. It is a rough truck, but you feel everything on the road, snow and ice. I never liked all of the "soft SUV's"-Pathfinder, 4 Runner, Pilot. They leave you wanting more road feel.

With all that said, I may not go back for a third Grand Cherokee...I am trying to get my wife to go for a wagon (E320, V70R, etc. great used lot nearby)-she's not folding. The SUV bug has bitten her big time.

Yeah - everyone out here drives either a Suburban, Escalade or Expedition - you can pull into the supermarket parking lot and literally not remember which one is yours. The Grand Cherokee is a nice size for a family of 4, but when we hit 5 it was time to go BIG.

That being said, you really get used to the space - the Expedition is HUGE, and drives pretty well, once you get over the fact that you just paid $72 bucks to fill it, and you'll fill it again in 5 days.
