Default Could this be the one?

In my search for a clean 964 I stumbled apon this one. I am interested to hear any feedback:

1991 C2 Coupe

The good:
- low miles (41k).
- love the color
- dual exhaust, but don't know what type.
- sport seats, interior is spotless
- paint/exterior is in very nice condition.
- good price: $24k.

The bad:
- No history docs, but carfax clean (bought from Auction)
- No sticker w/ option codes under hood. Ugh, so is the badge delete factory? What about LSD? Don't know if this is a bad sign or not.
- No Dual Distributer Vent mod done, but no biggie
- No M030 or anything, but I guess I will add it no problem
- No factory wheels (right?).

Thoughts appreciated as always!

Fantastic colour combo, suspension set up seems a bit weird.... ride height is high but it doesnt appear to have the standard stance of lower rear, higher front as is standard on the 964.

Any evidence of damage? Why is the sticker missing, new hood? I agree with the ride stance comment.

You may be able to pull the option codes from PCNA with the VIN#. Missing vent kit is not a "con". Add it for $12 and you're done. Have you driven it?

nice color. Makes me wonder about my ride height though; here's mine for comparison comment (without hijacking the thread)

Nice colour combo! Very close to mine. Looks like that's Amethyst Metallic.

Andy, yes it's Amethyst Metallic, I think I love that color. It appears it was offered only 3 years, and as an special order color. The tan interior looks nice in contrast IMHO.

Good comments about the ride height/suspension. Frankly I didn't really notice. But if I am going to swap the suspension out first thing, then do you guys think it matters what it has now? I am thinking it only matters if it distracts from the test drive in some way. But again, I will be putting new suspension on as a first order of business.

I am in CA, the car is in OR, I will be driving it on Thursday, so I will report back.

Good point about the VIN# and PCNA. I will call them first thing on Monday. Anyone know the #? ( I will STFA too).

Thx for the comments so far. Whacha all think about price?

Here is another picture showing a more conventional stance. I think that other picture just appears funky.

Wheels, color look great. I don't understand the dual exhaust and as others have posted be very careful of previous damage -- price looks right given the miles and if it hasn't been in an accident.

I live in Portland and just got back from taking a quick look at the car. The dealer was closed but I could see it through the window. I hope the dealer has sent you pictures of the front end and/or at least advised you that someone has run it up onto a curb several times - the grill openings under the bumper are fairly well caved in and need to be repaired. Of course, you can get this taken care of if it's the only real problem, but it does make the car look less then well cared for,

I'm pretty sure those are Boxster wheels, so they are factory. Not sure if they are the right size and/or offset though.

When I picked up mine it had:

No option decal under the hood.- Porsche can send you a cirtificate with the option list. Those decals can easily get damaged or just dry out with age. I think the one in my car was removed because the goo was still there.

No dist. Vent kit. -Easy to put in and less than 20 bucks.

No factory wheels-Picked up a nice set of Cup 1's in 7 & 9 from Wheel Enhancment.

The milage was 39K

Looks like a good price asz well!

NO under hood sticker screams repaint or damage, those just don't fall off, so listen to everyone else, there is a high probability that the hood is not original and it has been damaged.

Yes, but you might want to change the belt too if the car has done 41k on the same belt with no vent.
