On the paint code line of my car I have the following:

Here is a visual:

Sorry, haven't got a clue, but just wanted to say thats a great photo.
You should be able to find it on the right hand side (looking at the car from the front) inner fender. Remove the carpet and it should be on a little plate, together with the paint code.
Any luck?

Thank you JBH!!!
I have had lots of questions - had the PO tell me it was Horizon Blue Metallic - but then someone else from PCA said they quit making Horizon Blue Metallic in 1989 (mine is a 1990). Thanks.

Hi Jeremy,
Paint code 37B 89/90 could also be Baltic Blue Metallic [I have found two different web sites stating the same color code/name].
Very nice visual!
Giorgio.

Dear JBH,
You have to assume unless "proven" otherwise that the Porsche Manuals are correct.
Ciao,

PS: Do you happen to have the Porsche Manual 1992 and 1993 factory colour codes. Mine finishes at 1991.

Sorry Adrian I do not. Like you, mine stop at 1991. You have to go to the TSB for the particular year to get updated codes. To bad ALLDATA doesn't offer a subscription with unlimited access.

Thanks for your help JBH and Adrian -
I guess that not everything is black and white in the Porsche world...
I guess I can live with Dove Blue Metallic or Baltic Blue Metallic. Maybe they just changed the name...
Thanks again! Here is another shot...
This time with my wife in the car. It's funny I read alot of folks can't get their wives to even ride in their car - mine wants to drive it all the time!

My 1990 Baltic Blue 911 has the paint code of L37B. Baltic Blue is also written on the sticker in the luggage compartment. My car was built on January 22, 1990.
My 1990 Factory sales brochure does not list Baltic Blue as a choice for 1990. I've also seen 1989 Carrera's and 1989 Speedsters in Baltic Blue.
My 964 website.
Hope this helps.

Jay-
Ok so Baltic Blue was not an option in 1990 Brochure - But you have a 1990 Baltic Blue Car? Maybe I do too as the colors look very similiar - seems mine changes a little too depending on light.
So, anybody have a Dove Blue Metallic C2 that I can compare to??
Thanks in advance

From the pics I've seen of your car, that's got to be Baltic Blue. (BTW, your car looks fantastic!) My car does change colors in certain light as you look at it from different angles. It's got just a touch of purple, green and red in it too.
It's weird that the brochure doesn't list Baltic Blue nor do any of my books show that color for 1990. But, maybe it was a carry over from 1989 colors and was discontinued later in the 1990 model year. One never knows with Porsche.

Thanks for the comments on my car. I think she looks great too. Her name is Neva. Runs like a dream. I just finished the holy airbox upgrade and have now become addicted to the howl! Thanks for everybody's help.

Dug up the carpet today and there was the sticker - drivers side front fender.
Thanks for all your help!
