C-2 Shifter Problem
 

I was investigating my shifter and found what looks like a problem. The picture is in Vol.II manual transmission book page 34-43. The bar that has the number 8 identifying it. The one that goes from forward of the shifter to the bottom of the shifter. The ball and cup at the end of the shifter is the problem. Only the boot and center body panel holds mine on. When I took off the boot the bar just fell off the vertical shifter bar. Nothing was in the boot. What holds that thing on besides the boot and bottom plate? It works but just doesn’t seem right. Anyone been in there before. Thanks, Mark

Ooops. I thought you said Vol III you didn´t you said Vol 2. Got my Marks mixed up, sorry for the confusion. There is another Mark around with a C2 Tip, trying to fix problems with it. I should read a little slower,
