Wink What's Wrong with My Car?

I have a '92 C2.

It does not leak any oil.

It does not overheat, even when driven hard or stuck in traffic in 90 degree heat.

It starts perfectly every time, cranked by a three year old Porsche battery that holds a charge even if I let it sit for two weeks.

I have the tiptronic trans (so nice, BTW, that I might have still opted for it even if my left ankle wasn't rendered useless a couple of years ago) and the fluid was changed correctly and at a reasonable price by my dealer.

The engine undertray is still installed on my car, and neither I nor the car have burned in hellfire as a result.

The car has been a joy to drive and as close to trouble free as I could expect from a complex, 10 year old piece of machinery.

Sorry for the silly post guys. I do understand that a primary purpose of this board is to share information and help each other out when our cars act up. Sometimes, though, it gets a bit depressing to read! I must admit I found the airbox hole thread and the recent wax questions to be a welcome relief.

Here's to acknowledging good stuff, too....

Bob,

You just committed a cardinal sin. You'd better hope the Porsche gods don't get wind of your post!

Bob:

I REALLY LIKED your post. Out of curiousity, how many miles are on your car?

I've owned high performance cars for years and have been posting to web sites about them for about 5 years. It's typical for people to post problems, not "what's right" with the car. I think this is because people expect the car to work properly, and the posts get sent when it doesn't. In fact, I think your post may be the first "my car is working fine" post. Most of the 964 owners I've known have been quite happy with them.

Good Luck,

Bill Wagner
