Right Front Air Blower Removal
Is there any way to get the blower out without using the Porsche tool 9512? The blower is pressed in and the tool is like a gear puller. Anyone got this thing out before? Porsche wants $250 for the tool.

Got it! Learned a lot. Flat tip screwdriver is too thick to hold the tabs down but a common hack saw blade works perfect. One thing the manual says nothing about is the two star head screws. They are located behind the spiral fan on the face of the motor assemble. I put the too blades in place, tabs held down and thought I was good to go. I pulled, wiggled and everything else with no luck. Since I had the new motor in hand, I broke out the dremal tool and started surgery to cut the thing out. With the spiral fan out of the way I saw the 2 screws. They don't look like they hold the unit in place but might go with the motor housing. They hold the unit in place. With the hack saw blades in place pushing down the tabs and small star head screws removed the unit fell out in my hand. WALA! With the fan in the right location you can see the two screws. I put the two screws back in the new motor. THANKS for the help Adrian. Mark
