Recovering the steering wheel
Just purchased a leather recover kit for my stock (air bag equipped) steering wheel...the instructions don't include how to remove the steering wheel ......is it difficult? Does it require special tools? I would really like to get rid of the original dryed, cracked leather cover.

Rex, there are a lot of threads on the topic of removing the steering wheel - especially wheels with airbags and what you should look out for in terms of the 20-30 minute wait time after the disconnection of the battery; the removal of the air-bag and how to mark the wheel so as to keep it "true" when you remount. Try the search facility for this forum and let us know if your questions aren't answered.

About the steering wheel removal, first you have to disconnect the battery for a while I think its 30 min, then you have to unbolt two allen srews behind the steering wheel to take the airbag out, then you have to disconnect the cables from the airbag and the nut if I remmember well it is a 23, mine came with a red mark if not mark it with some nail paint so when you put it back again you know the position again.
