New 964 owner
Hi
I just bought a 94 c2, What are the pros and cons of this make?
Anything I should know about it?
I also have a set of new 996 Cup 3 twist off a 996 they are 7 fronts and 9 inch rears, anyone know if they fit with no problem?
Thanks
Randal

Welcome! and congrats on a great car! You'll find lots of talk about the 964, most all of it will not pertain to your later model. That's a most unusual color, never seen that one before. On the wheels, well, I don't know. But if had aset of twists sittting around I'd throw'em on have a look-see.

Welcome - and yes that is a distinctive color. Pretty cool.
If you do a search in this forum for "FAQ's" and "Wheels" (or "offsets")you should find (a) jon kaminsky's FAQ project which is a great place to start - most of the issues with 964's had been ironed out by 1994 and (b) loads of info re: wheels - the wheel issue will turn on whether your wheels are ok in size and offset for the 964.
Again, welcome and enjoy!

Randal, congrats on the new toy!
As for tires, you can easily run 205's in front and 255's in the rear as long as the offsets are 55mm or less. 225's will fit up front as well, but you may get a little wheel rub on the inside fender with a full turn of the wheel.

Randal,
I too am a new owner of a '90 C4. It's marvelous!!
You said that you have a set of cup 3 twist wheels that you want to put on it. Any chance you'd want to sell the wheels that are on it now? I'm assuming that the wheels in the picture are the ones on the car now. They're cup 1 wheels I presume?
Just a thought...

Welcome, Randal.
Make sure you keep those model aircraft well away from the 964! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
Now how did I know about that?
More pictures, please.

Three Wheelin'
I was going to ask the same question as Shaker71- I thought I saw that car on Ebay as well- very unique color, and there can't be that many like that! Looks to be in great shape from the pictures that were posted if it's the one on Ebay-Good luck with it- good choice!

Hi All
Yes It was on Ebay, We just put it back together and it is in extremely great shape.
It looks drives and smells new!
I will see if I want to sell the wheels after I see how the cup3s work
and John...I have a van for the planes :-) ... I don't think it would hold one anyway
Regards

That colour is obscene, I love it.
I came very close to buying a C2 Turbo Bodied Cabriolet in the pale blue that the 964 RS was available in but in the end I decided that I couldn't handle it on a day to day basis. That and the fact I wasn't sure I'd enjoy a tiptronic enough. In some ways I wish I'd gone for it due to the fact it was well rude.
