Anyway, I would only have had to then go to all the trouble of translating it from Australian into English.

For instance, I think the simplest terms compare as follows:
US - UK - Oz
bonnet - hood - hood
trunk - trunk - boot
fender - bumper bar - bumper bar
bull bar - ?? - roo bar
windshield - windscreen - windscreen
rotor - ?? - disk
cop - plod - cop
sidewalk - footpath - footpath

In a few weak moments in the past I have thought of getting a sportscar of another marque, but one of the big factors in never pursuing that choice is that I wouldn't be able to contribuite to Rennlist anymore.

I stay away from the smart groups 964 forum because of all the "experts" that have arrogant/quick to snap attitudes towards newbies or questions that have already been asked - we all start somewhere with Porches, this list is very forgiving and helpful, like having lots of old friends around.

The car is fine actually - I was expecting oil leaks and smoke in the exhaust to show themselves now I am CATless and undertrayless but so far so good. Maybe I can keep that engine work at bay for another year? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

We C4 cabrio owners view all 964 owners as normal people. We merely feel sympathy for the C2 owners who can only get their cars out on dry weekends and for lhd targa owners because they cannot afford a better model :-)))

Even though there is a degree of commonality between the membership of various forums I'm a member of, behaviour varies. This is a good natured one.

IMO What seems to pervade this list is happiness. Even when the oil leaks and warning lights might suggest otherwise, everyone seems fundamentally happy. I put it down to our discovery of that automotive nirvana that is a 964. Its mondeo money, it won't depreciate, it looks like a goddess and goes like s. off a s.s.
