More a/c/heat woes.
Here's my deal. The climate control works perfectly. From cold to hot. The a/c is ok, just needs a recharge (maybe.) BUT - with the inside climate control fan OFF, I still get some air bleeding through at a fairly decent volume. Not blowing, but still enough to feel with your hand at the vent. When it gets nice and hot out, and especially when the blower motor kicks on in the back, that air flowing into the interior gets unbearably HOT. If I turn the a/c on, after a minute or so, the air finally seems to kill that inbound hot air and spit out nice cool air conditioned air.
Is that hot blow-by normal? Or do I have a mixer not closing things off - either at the end of the heat exchangers or in the trunk? Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks. [ 06-22-2001: Message edited by: BS911 ] |
Brian,
I don't know if that's normal, but my 92 C2 does the exact same thing (small amount of air, usually hot air, blows through the vents with the climate control off). I've tried hitting recirculate and it still happens. Drew 92 C2 Coupe |
Hello
The flaps never shut down totally. Just make sure some fresh air gets into the car. If hot air comes the mixture flap needs adjustment. Grüsse |
