I finally have it!!!

Hi all,

I have finally found and picked up my 964 after a few months of reading/searching/test driving/etc.

I saw the car in the porsche.de german list of cars for sale, and after several phone calls with the sales guy I decided to buy it.

So I went to pick it up on the 15th of June at the "Porsche Zentrum" in Baden-Baden. The guys were very nice, and I was gone in about half an hour, after signing the paperwork and getting the answers to my questions.

So, I then drove home and the car drives like a dream. Going at around 160 km/h (100 mph) with just a slight pressure on the accelerator was awsome. All the guages are working and the car looks like a new car. It's very clean inside/outside, and the engine is bone dry. I am very impressed with it. I will post some photos soon.

Here are the details of my new baby:

1993 964 C4
Slate Gray
Partial Black Leather
100K kms (62K mls)
16" Wheels (with 15 mm Spacers)
No Moonroof (Which I do not like anyway)
3 Previous Owners
12 Months Warranty/Unlimited Mileage
21 mpg on my first full tank (Highway driving - 70 to 120 mph)

------------------------------------------
Forgot to mention:

Car has full Porsche service history
Price paid: 53000 DEM (~25000 USD)

For info, here in Europe prices range from 20K USD for a 1989/90 to 30K+ USD for 1992/93 964 with low miles.

I would like to thank all of you for sharing your experiences on this board, where I have learned (and still am) a great amount of knowledge about 911s.

Regards,

Giorgio.

Congratulations! I am looking to return from a sales trip to see if the seller of a 94 C2 I have been looking at will finally come down in price

You lucky man! I am looking forward to being able to say the same thing soon.

Coincidentially, I am also considering buying a 964 in Germany. I was wondering if I could send you an email (so as noty to waste bandwidth) asking you about the whole experience.

Keep us posted on how this beautiful car performs. Am looking forward to those pictures!

Giorgio:

Congradulations on your 964 Purchase! It sounds like a great car. Good year, great color and the sunroof delete seems pretty rare.

We'll be waitin' for those photo's!

Enjoy your car!
