Default ticking noise in the front right hand side

I just went for a ride with my son, and for the first time, I hear a ticking nosie that sounds like it is coming from the drivers front tire?, steering?, etc. I cannot place where it is coming from , however, the faster I go, the more it ticks louder and faster. It also ticks more when I make a turn.

It almost sounds like a leaf, that is stuck in my grill, a nail in the tire, but, neither of those exists.

Could it be the speed odmeter cable, or what?

If its a c4 it could be a cv joint.

First thing i'd check is basically what you are getting at. Take the tire/wheel off and spin the hub/rotor. See if anything hits as it turns. There is a sheet metal heat shield (I think its a heat shield anyway) that could be part of the problem.

The instruments are all electronic - no cables.
