you're right there...my 90 C2 has been resprayed at least 3 times, not for accident damage but to change the colour, at least it's now back to its original white.

Happy new year!

Cool

Same here in Oman. My car has been colour changed by the dealer/importer from Midnight Blue to Zenith Blue for the previous (first) owner. They do it so often, they're very good at it

It happens to brand new cars a lot too. The market volume is very small both new and used. Finding your "dream" car can take ages so the colour is simply taken out of the equation. I saw a nice brand new midnight blue 996 being converted to signal orange metallic (and subsequently fitted with a Gemballa twin turbo engine and full bodykit). That is the other common sighting out here, bodykits. Of the few cars around many are fitted with full 993GT2 & 996GT3 aerokits, full Gemballa conversions and Techart widebodies on the 9x6 models.

Cheers, Nol

Hi Adrian,

Where would the C code label be? Mine has been resprayed and I can't seem to locate the sticker so it might have been removed. What I know to date, She was built in 1989 and imported into the UK then. She was then exported out to Malaysia in 1994.

cheers!
Kris

Dear Kris,
I am afraid it will be gone. The label is under the trunk near the locking device at the front. If yours was an ex UK vehicle I know the codes for it. Thanks anyway. Please let me know who the Previous Owner was,
Ciao,
Adrian.
